Uzbekistan’s first bachelor’s graduates in artificial intelligence complete their studies at TUIT
The first cohort of AI graduates in the country’s higher education system defended their final projects in May 2025.
In May 2025 the first students to complete a bachelor’s degree in artificial intelligence in Uzbekistan graduated from TUIT’s Department of Artificial Intelligence. Together with graduates in mechatronics and robotics, they presented final projects that applied machine learning, computer vision and automation to practical problems.
The programme was launched to meet the demand for AI specialists in the public sector, banking, telecommunications and industry. Its graduates are expected to work on the national AI strategy’s priority areas, including digital public services and data analysis.
The Higher Engineering School of ICT and Artificial Intelligence, which began enrolling students in 2025, will expand AI education at the University further.
