Basis and updating
Since 30 August 2024 the Energy and Carbon Management Policy (TUIT-SP-02, paragraph 6), which replaced the Energy Conservation Program adopted in 2023, requires the University to maintain a Building Upgrade Plan, updated every year, that sets out measures to upgrade existing buildings to higher energy efficiency, such as insulation, window replacement, LED lighting, heating controls and solar installations. Paragraph 15 makes the Vice-Rector for Finance and Economics responsible for the Policy and for approving the Building Upgrade Plan.
