How the support works
Employees who find it hard to provide food for themselves and their families can apply to the trade union committee for material assistance. The committee considers each application and pays a one-off cash grant that the employee can use to buy food. Support is given to employees in difficult life circumstances.
Applications are handled confidentially.
Related support
The trade union represents more than one thousand TUIT employees and negotiates social support with the University under the Collective Agreement (see indicator 8.2.2). Staff can also eat in the campus canteens, which offer affordable set meals.
