Sustainable food choices for all on campus, including vegetarian and vegan food

Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi provides sustainable food choices for everyone on campus, including vegetarian and vegan food. The three kitchens on the main campus, serving Uzbek, European and Korean cuisine, all offer vegetarian dishes, and vegan options are available.

Since 30 August 2024
The Sustainable Food Policy, approved on 30 August 2024 (TUIT-SP-08, paragraph 6), requires every food outlet to offer at least one vegetarian option every day and vegan options on a regular basis, clearly marked on the menu. Paragraph 4 asks catering contractors to give preference to certified or good-practice local farms and seasonal produce.
