Support services for people with disabilities

Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi provides support services for people with disabilities, including assistants, sign-language interpreters on request, specialist software and academic support.

- TUIT main campus in Tashkent. Figures cover the main campus; activities of the regional branches (Fergana, Nukus, Samarkand, Nurafshon, and Urgench, which joined Urgench State University in 2025) are mentioned where TUIT took part. Activities described took place at the main campus unless a branch is named.

In 2025
For the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 3 December 2025 the University held an inclusive camp with sign-language lessons, films with audio description, interactive games and an open dialogue session in which young people presented their own ideas (TUIT Spirituality and Enlightenment Centre Telegram, t.me/tatu_talabalar_uchun/22230). On 14 November 2025 the University psychologist ran a seminar for teaching staff on psychological approaches in teaching people with disabilities (t.me/tatu_talabalar_uchun/21345), and on 15 October 2025 students visited the “Muruvvat” residential home for people with disabilities (t.me/tatu_talabalar_uchun/19891).
