In 2025, researchers of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi published 442 Scopus-indexed scholarly publications. Based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) classification, 361 publications were identified as sustainability-related, covering areas such as quality education, clean energy, innovation and infrastructure, health and well-being, sustainable cities, climate action, and digital transformation. These research outputs demonstrate the university’s commitment to advancing sustainable development through scientific research and innovation.

TUIT Expands Sustainability Research Activities
Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi continues to strengthen its contribution to sustainable development through research and innovation. The University's total research funding has reached USD 3.7 million, of which USD 747,585 (20.2%) is allocated to sustainability-related research.
The University is currently implementing the following sustainability research projects aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals:
• Solar Energy Integration for Smart Campus Infrastructure;
• Water Resource Management and Recycling Systems in Urban Areas;
• Green Building Materials: Low-Carbon Construction Technology;
• Biodiversity Monitoring and Ecosystem Restoration in Central Asia;
• Waste-to-Energy Conversion Technologies for Municipal Solid Waste;
• Climate Change Adaptation Strategies for Agricultural Sector.
These projects address key areas including renewable energy, water sustainability, green construction, environmental protection, circular economy, and climate resilience, reflecting TUIT’s commitment to sustainable development and impactful research.
