Research

TUIT women researchers take part in the national forum of women scientists, and the University runs a UNESCO and Ministry of Digital Technologies project that trains talented women from low-income families in artificial intelligence and data science.

Teaching and students

Women’s application, entry and graduation rates are tracked every year by programme. The Women’s Council and women academics mentor women students, and every Friday is a day of free psychological and legal counselling for women students and staff. In 2025 two TUIT women students, Biybinaz Turemuratova of the Nukus branch and Dilnoza Abdurasulova of the Fergana branch, received the Zulfiya State Prize.

Campus

The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and the Family-Friendly Policy protect women and men from discrimination, guarantee maternity and paternity leave, and provide childcare support for students and staff.

Community and partners

In February 2025 TUIT held the “Digital Girls” training in Samarkand, the forum on women’s role in the IT sector, and events for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. In September 2025 Professor Saida Beknazarova became the first winner from Uzbekistan of the Women in Tech Central Asia “Lifetime Achievement” award, and in December 2025 Professor Dildora Muhamediyeva won the “Woman Scientist” category of the national “Woman of the Year” contest.
