In 2025 TUIT and the UzCosmos agency organised CanSat Uzbekistan-2025, a competition in which student teams build satellites the size of a soft-drink can and launch them to collect and transmit data. The TUITSpaceCraft team launched its satellite in February 2025, and the final was held in May 2025 at Yangi Hayot aerodrome in Tashkent region.

To build a CanSat, students must combine electronics, programming, radio communication and data processing, the same skills needed for environmental monitoring systems.
