On September 13, The University administration met with the delegation of the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics (BSUIR) at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi. The Belarusian delegation was headed by rector of BSUIR Vadim Anatolyevich Bogush. During the meeting, prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of training highly qualified specialists in the field of information technology and communications were discussed.
An agreement on establishing a joint faculty and training of specialists with higher education between the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio electronics was signed. In accordance with this agreement in TUIT, starting from 2019-2020 academic years, TUIT will recruit students for the joint faculty of TUIT-BSUIR in the following areas:
– Information Technology Software;
- Programmable mobile systems;
- Artificial Intelligence.
Training at the joint faculty of TUIT-BSUIR will be held in 2 stages:
At the first stage, students will study the first 2 courses in TUIT, at the second stage the training will continue in the BSUIR.
Students who successfully completed their studies at the joint faculty of TUIT-BGUIR will receive a double diploma of TUIT-BSUIR.
The training will be conducted in Russian. In this regard, as early as November 2018, the preparatory department will open and preparatory courses on the Russian language and general education subjects (mathematics, physics, computer science, English) will be organized.
This agreement between TUIT and BSUIR will promote the development of multilateral cooperation, strengthening of friendly ties between the people of Belarus and Uzbekistan.
