The Open Data Challenge is a competition where teams of programmers compete in rapid development of products based on open public data.
The initiator is the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The organizers are the E-Government Development Center, Inha University in Tashkent, the OSCE Project Coordinator in Uzbekistan, the United Nations Development Program Office in Uzbekistan, the World Bank Office in Tashkent.
Partners - partners of the Hackathon are United Integrator “UZINFOCOM” LLC, ICT News magazines, INFOCOM.UZ.
The Open Data Challenge is distinguished by the fact that teams must act in tightly limited terms: within two days, abstract ideas turn into prototypes or alpha versions of new web and mobile services. As a result of intensive three-day work, the participants of Open Data Challenge 2018 will prepare new socially useful projects in various areas of life: finance, transport, education, health care, ecology, etc.
Thus, the material result of the event will be mobile and web applications, various devices. In addition to the development of projects, as part of the Open Data Challenge 2018, workshops and trainings for programmers on working with open data will be held.
