At Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT), new educational and research laboratory titled "Electronic Archives" has been established in cooperation with the “Uzarchiv” Agency. This laboratory is the first of its kind in Central Asia.
The laboratory was created as part of the implementation of the tasks assigned during the video conference held on June 20, 2024, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on the topic “Measures to improve the training of personnel in the field of engineering and further enhance the activities of higher educational institutions.”
This initiative will play a crucial role in training highly qualified specialists in digitization of archival work, electronic document management, and the implementation of modern information systems in Uzbekistan.
Equipped with special devices, tools, and modern technological solutions, the laboratory will provide students with hands-on experience in both traditional and electronic archiving, as well as the opportunity to work with existing archival information systems in a lab environment.
It is worth noting that in March of this year, a cooperation agreement was signed between TUIT and the “Uzarchiv” Agency.
