At the initiative of B. Makhkamov, Rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, the final stage of the “Rector’s Cup” chess tournament was held among young people residing in the Nurmakon, Mingchinor, and Yo‘layriq mahallas of the Yunusabad district.
♟ The tournament was organized with the aim of developing young people’s intellectual potential, enhancing their logical thinking skills, encouraging the meaningful use of free time, and promoting a healthy and active lifestyle. The event fostered an atmosphere of friendly competition among youth and served as an important platform to test their knowledge and skills.
During the final matches, participants demonstrated strategic planning, patience, and quick decision-making abilities. The competition was conducted at a high organizational level with full compliance with sports rules. At the conclusion of the tournament, the winners and prize recipients who achieved the best results were ceremonially awarded diplomas and commemorative gifts.
The “Rector’s Cup” tournament became one of the important steps toward strengthening youth engagement at the community level, supporting their abilities and talents, and establishing a healthy moral and social environment within the mahallas.
