On September 20 of this year, Tashkent University of Information Technologies officially launched the "Five Initiatives Olympiad" sports competition, which covers students of higher and professional educational institutions.
The event was attended by the Presidential Representative for Sports, Odil Abdurakhmanov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongratbay Sharipov, the Minister of Sports, Adham Ikramov, the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, representatives of the leadership of the National Olympic Committee, the Youth Affairs Agency, the Association of Mahallas, the National Paralympic Committee, as well as rectors of all universities in Tashkent.
The ceremony took place in the TUIT gym, where representatives of universities from 13 regions of the country joined online via the ZOOM platform. At the opening of the event, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Kongiratbay Sharipov, made a speech and noted that the competitions were launched at the initiative of the President, and for three years, they have been playing an important role in the promotion of a healthy lifestyle among young people and the development of mass sports.
