At Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Tashkent University of Information Technologies, a study was conducted on preventing drug-related crimes.
In accordance with the work plan of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis for the second half of 2026, a study was scheduled to be conducted in August in Tashkent to examine the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and other potent substances among young people and women, the reasons for their spread, and the effectiveness of preventive measures.
As part of the implementation of this task, a study was conducted at Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Tashkent University of Information Technologies by members of the working group led by the head of the working group, Bahodir Nasriddinovich Boborajabov, including Shakhlo Abrorovna Aripova, a responsible officer of the Youth Affairs Agency, and Ravshan Turgunovich Goziyev, Head of the Department of TKTI.
The study was organised to ensure the implementation of the tasks set out in Decree No. PF-207 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 3 November 2025, “On Comprehensive Measures to Effectively Protect Public Health and the National Gene Pool from Drug Addiction and Drug-Related Crimes,” as well as to prevent drug addiction among young people and increase the effectiveness of combating drug-related crimes.
During the study, the work being carried out at the university to prevent the use of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and other potent substances among young people and women was examined in detail.
The study also analysed the measures taken to create a healthy and safe environment for students, organise their leisure time meaningfully, widely promote a healthy lifestyle, and systematically conduct awareness-raising activities on the negative consequences of narcotic drug use. Recommendations were also provided.
