The UNESCO Hamdan Prize is now accepting applications for the 2025–2026 cycle.
This award aims to identify and support innovative initiatives that have significantly improved the quality of education by enhancing teachers’ capacities.
🎯 Priority Criteria:
📌 The project must have been implemented for at least 3 years.
📌 It must have had a qualitative, systematic, and sustainable impact on the educational process.
📌 It should have supported the professional development of teachers at the local, regional, or international level.
🏆 The prize includes:
💰 A monetary award of USD 100,000 for each winner
📜 A UNESCO certificate and global recognition
🌐 Opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience within the UNESCO network
👥 Who can apply?
✔️ Only organisations and institutions (individual applications are not accepted)
✔️ Candidates must be nominated by UNESCO National Commissions or by organisations accredited by UNESCO
✔️ Each Commission may nominate up to 5 projects

31 October 2025, by 23:59 Paris time (GMT+2)
📢 Winners announced:
5 October 2026 – on the occasion of World Teachers’ Day
