📚 On 26 August, the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi (TUIT) hosted the “TUIT SDG & Research Impact 2026” event.
The event focused on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the impact of academic research on society and the environment, and TUIT’s contribution to sustainable development.
🔬 Scientific research is not just about publications — it is about real-world impact.
The alignment of professors’ and lecturers’ research activities, publications in international journals, and research outcomes with the SDGs was analysed. Participants also exchanged views on the impact of academic research on education, innovation, digital transformation, economic development, social well-being, and environmental sustainability.
📈 The event also addressed the international research performance of TUIT’s academic staff, its impact on the university’s research capacity and ranking performance, as well as prospects for further developing research activities.
🌱 The SDGs are not simply global goals.
They represent the value created through every research project, innovation, qualified specialist, and contribution to society.
🔵 TUIT continues its efforts to build a unified ecosystem of science, innovation, and sustainable development, increase the practical impact of research, and strengthen the university’s position in the international academic community.
