Today, a unique spirit and festive mood prevailed at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
An event dedicated to the opening of the “Uzbek Language” center under the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages of the university took place. This initiative was organized on the occasion of the 585th anniversary of the birth of the sultan of the word treasury — Hazrat Mir Alisher Navoi.
The event was attended by representatives of the university leadership led by the rector, professors and teachers, faculty members and tutors of the AKTSIM faculty, as well as talented students and youth.
At the opening ceremony:
— Rector Prof. B.Sh. Makhkamov;
— Head of Department S.Kh. Abdullayeva;
— Department professor, member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan G.Kh. Mansurova spoke, sharing their thoughts on the role of our mother tongue in education and spirituality.
In his speech, the rector emphasized that this academic year the university has launched centers for English, German, and Russian languages, and noted that the addition of the “Uzbek Language” center to these centers today is an important and joyful event.
At the end of the event, symbolic gifts — books — were presented to the university leadership, and the event concluded in a high-spirited atmosphere.
Attention to the mother tongue is attention to the nation!
