On October 22 of this year, our university held the scientific-practical conference titled "The Third Renaissance: Urgent Tasks in Training Library Personnel" within the framework of the "INFOLIB UZBEKISTAN – 2024" XIII National Information and Library Week, organized at the National Library of Uzbekistan.
☯️ The conference was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, key staff from the National Library of Uzbekistan, representatives from higher educational institutions (HEIs) involved in library personnel training, and heads of Information Resource Centers from various HEIs across the country.
📚 For the participants of the conference, an excursion to the university library was initially organized and the readers were familiarized with the conditions created. This was followed by presentations and discussions aimed at identifying key issues in training and retraining library specialists in the country, and at developing modern educational programs that meet global standards.
❕ It is worth noting that TUIT is the only higher education institution in Uzbekistan that specializes in training information technology experts for libraries.
