According to the Presidential Decree No. PQ-430 dated December 12, 2024, the establishment of the TUIT Zarafshan Faculty has been defined in order to expand the training of qualified personnel in the field of information and communication technologies in the regions.
🏛 In line with this, on May 6, a working group led by the rector of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, B. Makhkamov, visited Zarafshan city and held a meeting with representatives of the local administration headed by Mayor N. Rahmonov.
During the meeting, discussions were held on the process of fully renovating the TUIT Zarafshan Faculty building, creating comfortable conditions for students and faculty during the study period, providing accommodation, and establishing internship bases.
➡️ The delegation also got acquainted with the activities of Specialized School No. 14 and the technical college in Zarafshan city, which focus on IT. The modern infrastructure, educational resources, and youth interest in the IT field were examined.
✅ At the end of the meeting, prospective tasks related to the discussed issues were outlined.
For information, the admission process to the TUIT Zarafshan Faculty is planned to begin in the 2025–2026 academic year.
