Today, on 21 November, an event titled “Cybernetics — the Foundation of Modern Artificial Intelligence” was held at the Ministry of Digital Technologies in cooperation with the Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. Academicians and scientists who have contributed to the development of cybernetics and modern artificial intelligence took part in the meeting.
#️⃣ The purpose of the event was to emphasize the role of the field of cybernetics as a scientific basis for the development of artificial intelligence, to support ongoing scientific research and new innovative ideas, and to further strengthen effective scientific and practical dialogue between scholars and young researchers.
⚜️ At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, delivered a speech on the current role of cybernetics and artificial intelligence, the support of scientific research, the training of specialists, and the involvement of young people in innovative projects. The minister also touched upon future strategic initiatives, areas of cooperation, and the activities of newly established innovation centers.
🔠 Afterwards, academician Mirzayan Kamilov (https://uz.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirzoyan_Komilov) spoke about the history of cybernetics in our country, the work carried out in its development, its significance, and the special attention being given to this field today by the President.
⚡️ For information: This year, the memory of a group of late scholars and artists who made significant contributions to the development of science, literature, culture, and the arts in Uzbekistan was honored by the President, and their services were recognized with high state awards. Among them, academician Vasil Kabulov, who made invaluable contributions to the field of cybernetics, was also deservedly awarded the “For Selfless Service” order.
