At Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, a comprehensive preventive event was held as part of the implementation of Decree No. PD-207 “On comprehensive measures for the effective protection of public health and the nation’s gene pool from drug addiction and drug-related crimes.”
The main purpose of the event was to provide young people with a deep understanding of the harmful consequences of drug use and drug-related crimes, prevent legal violations, promote a healthy lifestyle in society, and widely highlight state policies aimed at preserving the nation’s gene pool.
The meeting was attended by Makhkam Mirjanovich Vafoyev, Colonel and Head of the Yunusobad District Department for Coordinating the Activities of Internal Affairs Bodies; Guljakhon Jengisovna Zarimova, Lieutenant Colonel and Senior Inspector of the Youth Affairs Department of the Yunusobad District IIB; as well as representatives of the group responsible for juvenile and youth prevention.
During the event, participants received detailed information about the negative impact of narcotic substances on health, psychological well-being, and social life. In addition, current legislation, penalties for drug-related crimes, and legal mechanisms aimed at protecting young people were thoroughly explained.
Participants exchanged views on the role of the family in preventing drug addiction, the responsibility of educational institutions, cooperation with the community, and the comprehensive approaches of state bodies.
This meeting plays an important role in increasing legal awareness among young people, protecting them from harmful habits, and contributing to the upbringing of a healthy generation.
