A delegation led by the rectors of leading higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan including the Tashkent University of Information Technology named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Tashkent State University of Economics, Bukhara Engineering-Technological Institute, and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Qatar, Ashraf Khojayev, visited the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). During the visit, negotiations were held between UDST President Dr. Salem Al-Naemi and the leaders of top universities of Uzbekistan to establish cooperation in the field of education.
🤝 The meeting focused on fostering collaboration between universities, with discussions centered on joint research initiatives, academic exchange programs, and the development of innovative educational programs.
✅ This cooperation aims to combine the strengths of the universities, enhance academic excellence, and expand research opportunities in information technology, green energy, business management, and science and technology. The parties agreed to collaborate in various fields based on market demands.
🗒 For reference: The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) has provided full government-funded scholarships to five Uzbek students for bachelor’s degree. Following this meeting, plans were made to gradually increase the number of scholarships each year.
