“Universities — Generators of Startups” Event to Be Held at TUIT
On 12 March 2026, an event dedicated to the development of the startup ecosystem titled “Universities — Generators of Startups” will be held at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
The event is organised within the framework of the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 11 February 2026, No. PQ–59, “On Measures to Introduce a Comprehensive Ecosystem for Supporting Startups.” It aims to support startup initiatives among students and widely promote new opportunities.
As part of the event, an exhibition of startup laboratories, innovative developments, and student projects operating at the university will be organised. Promising technological solutions created by students and young researchers will be presented during the exhibition.
In addition, an important part of the event will be the “Meeting Between Leaders and Youth.” Representatives of government organisations, industry specialists, and young startup founders will participate in the discussion. The following issues will be addressed:
• Development of the startup ecosystem in higher education institutions
• Support for students’ innovative ideas
• Providing investment opportunities for startup projects
During the event, promising startup projects will be presented in a pitching format, followed by discussions with experts and participants.
