On 11 December, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan responsible for education reform, Hilola Umarova, and First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Sardor Rajabov, reviewed the annual reports and next year’s strategic plans of the rectors of the Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent Institute of Architecture and Construction, Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology.
During the meeting, issues such as aligning the educational process with global economic development trends, the comprehensive implementation of digital management systems, establishing advanced mechanisms for assessing education quality, and ensuring the sustainable development of professional competencies among academic staff were thoroughly discussed. In addition, proposals aimed at increasing the effectiveness of scientific research, aligning it with the needs of the economy, and expanding the portfolio of innovative projects were put forward.
Taking into account the relevance of technical and engineering fields, priority tasks were defined, including deepening cooperation with leading industrial enterprises, systematically integrating students’ practical training with the real sector, and attracting investment resources for international scientific and educational projects.
