

On 10 June, the first forum of rectors of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Spain commenced in Madrid, Kingdom of Spain.
The forum is scheduled to take place in Madrid and Barcelona, bringing together nearly 30 rectors from higher education institutions across Uzbekistan. Among the participants is Professor Bakhtiyor Makhkamov, Rector of Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
As part of the forum, Professor B. Makhkamov is serving as a moderator of the panel session titled “Opportunities for Cooperation: Green and Digital Transition.” The session focuses on opportunities for inter-university cooperation in the processes of green and digital transformation, innovative approaches to education, and the preparation of highly qualified specialists for the digital economy.
Throughout the forum, participants will discuss prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with leading Spanish universities in the fields of education and research. Key areas of discussion include the implementation of joint academic programs and research projects, the establishment of faculty and student exchange initiatives, the organization of short-term internships, and the conduct of lectures and seminars.
