Within the Erasmus+ program under the “Capacity Building in Higher Education” direction, the next stage of the DEBSEUz project—implemented by Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi as the grant holder—is currently taking place at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), located in Madrid, Spain (TOP-100).
The main goal of the project is to study the advanced experience of European countries in the field of renewable energy, especially solar energy, to analyze curricula and adapt them to higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.
This phase of the project includes familiarization with UPM's modern technical infrastructure, seminars on new technologies for the use of solar energy, technical solutions based on alternative energy, and important lectures on environmental sustainability and solar panel recycling.
The event is attended by representatives of leading European universities, including POLITO from Italy, UEVORA from Portugal, and UPM from Spain, as well as participants from Uzbekistan's top engineering universities.
Within the framework of the project, meetings are planned on the development and accreditation of new bachelor's courses, organization of short-term courses on solar energy, establishment of modern laboratories and training centers, project management, quality monitoring, and dissemination to the wider public.
The DEBSEUz project plays an important role in strengthening cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Europe, introducing innovative educational programs, and setting vital steps toward a sustainable future.
