On September 26 at 10:00 a presentation on the topic: "Big Data" will be in Assembly Meeting Room. Kushnazarov Farrukh Isakulovich, the Professor of the University of Shanghai will take part in the presentation.

At present, the volume of information is increasing day by day, despite this fact, the Big Data, which is functioning all over the world, is its insignificant part. According to IDC forecasts, by 2020 the amount of information can reach the mark of 40 Zetta bytes. From the beginning of 2010 to the present, the amount of data has increased 50-55 times. According to the research, currently 2.8 Zetta bytes of information is being processed.

Naturally, there might be a question, how much is 40 Zetta bytes of information? If you collect all the sands of the globe, then they will amount to 700500000000000000000 (or 7 quintillion, 5 quadrillion). 40 zetta bytes is 57 times greater than this number.

If 40 Zetabytes of information is written to Blue-Ray (50 Gb in size), then the weight of all disks (without the shell) will exceed the average weight of the aircraft by 424 times. Increasing the volume of information has become a fact, how to process the information than? What algorithms to use? These issues are at the center of many scientists and companies.

Farukh Kushnazarov in his report on the Big Data, will highlight the fundamental issues in this area.

We invite everyone to this event on September 26 at 10.00.
