
Head of Uzbek–Indian IT Center:
Qodirov Zarif Zafarovich
The Uzbek–Indian IT Center under the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was established in 2006 on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of India.
The main objective of the Jawaharlal Nehru Uzbek–Indian Information Technology Center (hereinafter referred to as the International IT Center) is:
To create a pool of qualified personnel and expand employment opportunities by training world-class specialists in the field of information technology (hereinafter referred to as IT), with the aim of increasing investment in Uzbekistan and generating revenue from software exports.
In addition, the Center aims to train highly qualified specialists in modern information technologies, introduce educational programs that meet international standards, and bring advanced experience from developed countries to Uzbekistan.

The Center was personally inaugurated by the Head of our State, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his tenure as Prime Minister.
- Today, the Center has evolved into a strategic educational and innovation hub, providing thousands of students and young professionals with opportunities to enter the world of IT, develop practical projects, and find their place in the global IT market.
- In 2025, Zarif Zafarovich Qodirov was appointed Director of the Uzbek–Indian IT Center. He is a distinguished Uzbek scientist, programmer, and engineer, a professional drone operator, as well as an international-level coach and judge. Zarif Zafarovich has trained the national teams of Uzbekistan for some of the world’s most prestigious competitions, including ICPC, IOI, EGOI, and FIRST Global, достойно representing the country on the international stage.
- Under his leadership, the Center has entered a new stage of development with the expansion of new academic programs, startup initiatives, robotics laboratories, a drone technology school, and systematic preparation for international competitions.
- The Center actively cooperates with international organizations and implements international projects.
