Information about Uzbek-Indian Information Technology Center under Tashkent University of Information Technologies
The Uzbek-Indian Center of Information Technologies at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies was organized on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India, signed in Delhi on October 29, 2004, and upgraded on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding on the modernization of the Uzbek-Indian center of information technologies between the Governments of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India, signed in Tashkent on May 22, 2013.
The purpose of the center is to increase the volume of investment and profit from the export of software products, to train specialists in the field of information technology,to create a stock of skilled workers and to expand workplaces.
Objectives of the center includes following: to train Uzbek state employees on using information technologies; the organization of trainings in the form of short-term qualified courses in the field of computer software; training of the teaching staff of Higher, secondary special and educational institutions on using information technologies; training of students of the university and its branches.
There are 2 educational laboratories, designed for 50 students, 2 instructional classes for 72 listeners, a library equipped with books in the amount of 5640 pieces and a reading room for 11 people in the center.
The total area of educational laboratories and teaching and lecture classes is 164.2 square meters.

Availability of qualified teachers
11 professors-teachers works in the center on an hourly basis. 4 teachers in 2012, 6 teachers in 2013 were trained at the Center for Advanced Information Technology Development (CDAC) in Pune, India.
In order to implement the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 73 from March 27, 2014, 12-24-36 hour courses entitled "The use of modern information and communication technologies" were organised in the center. To date, contracts with 152 enterprises and organizations were signed. Overall quantity of listeners comprised 2680 people.
Actions for the modernization
Governments of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of India signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the modernization of the Uzbek-Indian Information Technology Center at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies On May 22, 2013.
Within the framework of the Memorandum, the Center for the Development of Advanced Information Technologies (CDAC) sent server equipment, server computers, videoconferencing devices and personal computers. At this time, all technical equipment passed customs clearance and installed in the Uzbek-Indian Center ща Information Technology. During the 3-4 quarters of 2013 the building of the center was thoroughly renovated, the center was completely equipped with new furniture and modern air-conditioners.

The main partner of the center is the Center for Advanced Computing Systems Development (C-DAC) of the Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies. It is designed for research and development in the field of IT, electronics and related fields. C-DAC, using innovative information technologies, constantly creates the potential for researching and implementing IT products and solutions in various branches of education and industry in India.
C-DAC provides high-quality education in the field of supercomputer technologies and offers a wide range of basic and advanced courses (in particular, remote for bachelors, masters and graduate students from other cities).
