   The Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment implements a long-term and large-scale spiritual and moral education program aimed at promoting human rights and dignity through the establishment of democratic principles based on national and universal values among the university community, especially students, and educating physically healthy, mentally mature, broad-minded, and independently thinking well-rounded youth.

The Department operates in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Decrees, Resolutions, and Orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers, orders of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, the university's internal regulations, and the department's Charter.

The main goal of the Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment is to foster student youth in the spirit of loyalty to national and universal values, expand their spiritual, aesthetic, and moral worldview, protect their minds from foreign ideologies, and raise them as true patriots and devoted citizens of an independent Uzbekistan.

 Main directions of spiritual, educational and upbringing activities:

– Educating students based on national and universal values to become true citizens of the independent Republic of Uzbekistan;

– Preparing them to conscientiously fulfill their civic and familial duties to the Motherland;

– Enhancing students’ responsibility in mastering their professions and crafts;

– Developing and improving students’ individual personal qualities;

– Promoting social activity, initiative, respect for study and profession, and social responsibility among students;

– Developing students’ social-political and legal consciousness, and enhancing their skills in critical and analytical thinking;

– Educating youth about the negative effects of social ills such as injustice, greed, and regionalism;

– Organizing students’ free time meaningfully and encouraging their scientific and creative activities based on their interests;

– Improving targeted spiritual, moral, and educational work.

 Main tasks of the Department for Youth Affairs, Spirituality and Enlightenment:

- Broadly promoting ongoing reforms in our country among student youth;

- Establishing moral, aesthetic, political, legal, and artistic education among students;

- Organizing conferences, roundtables, and meetings dedicated to promoting national traditions and values;

- Assisting in improving the spiritual and physical development of students;

- Determining the priorities of spiritual, educational, and moral activities at the university, developing the necessary regulatory documents and ensuring their implementation;

- Establishing ideological immunity among students against religious extremism, terrorism, drug addiction, and organized crime;

- Encouraging young people's interest in music, painting, literature, theater, and other forms of art, and supporting their talents;

- Promoting physical fitness among youth and creating necessary conditions for them to showcase their sports abilities;

- Enhancing the spiritual culture of youth and promoting reading habits among them;

- Systematically organizing support for female students in acquiring professions and crafts;

- Actively participating in improving spiritual and educational activities in cooperation with the city and district branches of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, as well as foundations and public organizations operating in our country.

The Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs directly organizes, coordinates, and monitors the spiritual and educational work at the university.

Department's goal:

To educate student youth in the spirit of loyalty to national and universal values, expand their spiritual and aesthetic worldview, elevate their thinking, protect them from the influence of various “mass culture” invasions that negatively affect their worldview, and raise them to become true patriots of independent Uzbekistan.

Department’s tasks:

  • Organizing activities related to social, economic, and spiritual-educational reforms being carried out in our country;
  • Shaping the moral, aesthetic, political, legal, and noble qualities among students, strengthening their immunity against various ideological threats through roundtables, meetings, and spiritual-educational events in cooperation with specialists, state, and public organizations;
  • Organizing conferences and meetings based on national traditions and values;
  • Supporting initiatives aimed at developing students’ mental and physical capabilities;
  • Setting directions for spiritual and moral upbringing activities in the academy and developing necessary regulatory documents and recommendations for them;
  • Developing spiritual and moral activities in cooperation with city and district branches of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, as well as other foundations and social organizations operating in our country.

Department’s rights:

  • Monitoring spiritual, educational, and moral activities in faculties;
  • Controlling the implementation of ministry orders and directives related to spiritual and educational activities in faculties;
  • Participating with recommendations in meetings on appointing or relieving vice-deans in charge of spiritual and educational affairs;
  • Providing guidance and recommendations to faculty deans and department heads on spiritual and moral matters;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the full implementation of the “Spiritual and Educational Work” section in the annual teaching workload of professors and teachers;
  • Regularly reporting to the department head on the activities carried out by vice-deans in charge of spiritual and educational affairs;
  • Recommending moral and material incentives for departments, faculties, or departments that serve as a positive example in spiritual and moral education.

The department operates in cooperation with the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Yunusabad district administration, the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment, and various public organizations.
