Activities described took place at the main campus unless a branch is named.

How the grants work

Grants are awarded once a year through a competition run by the TUIT Incubation Center. Teams of students, graduates and young entrepreneurs from the local community submit a business plan, and a commission of faculty, finance staff and invited investors selects the projects. Grants cover prototyping, equipment, software licences and market testing. Projects must show that they can become financially self-sustaining and must state their social or environmental benefit.

Further funding we help teams obtain

The Incubation Center prepares teams for national competitions and investors. In 2025 it helped teams apply to the President Tech Award, whose prize fund is USD 1 million (applications June–July 2025; TUIT official Telegram, 9 June 2025, t.me/tuituz_official/26142). On 6 December 2025 the University set up the TUIT Alumni Fund, through which graduates support students’ start-ups, research and innovation projects as well as students in need (t.me/tuituz_official/28404). Prizes paid by competition organisers are not counted in the grant total above.
