On January 26, a meeting was held between the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Sadikov and teachers and students of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
In his welcoming speech, Sh. Sadikov paid special attention to an increase of scientific potential of the university in 2019. He noted that the issues of improving the competitiveness of education and science are now the most relevant. On this basis, the university should continuously improve its competitiveness in the international arena.
During the meeting, a one-time cash award ceremony was held for TUIT teachers who received Ph.D. and DSc degrees (DSc), their supervisors, scientific consultants, respectively, as well as the authors of articles published in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of science ”, foreign journals listed in the HAC list in 2018. In addition, students-scholarship holders of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan were awarded with state scholarships named after Islam Karimov, state scholarship Abu Rayhan Beruni, Scientific Research Society of Electronics, Radio Engineering of the Republic of Uzbekistan. They were awarded with certificates. In addition, student of the year was also awarded.
