The event was dedicated to the 36th anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of a state language on 21 October.
✨ During the event, participants discussed the historical roots of the Uzbek language, its significance as a priceless value reflecting national identity, and its role in society. They also shared thoughts on efforts to promote the development of the state language and strengthen its image as a symbol of national pride among the youth.
👤 The guest of honour was Afzal Rafiqov, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan, renowned for his unique voice and eloquence. In his heartfelt speech, he vividly expressed the beauty, melody, and immense spiritual significance of the Uzbek language.
He emphasized that this language is our pride, our identity, and a symbol of our homeland.
“Let us cherish and honour our mother tongue, for preserving the language means preserving the nation. The mother tongue is the soul, historical memory, and spiritual treasure of a people. Protecting it and passing it on in its pure form to future generations is the duty of us all.”
👥 The event was actively attended by university professors, teachers, and students, who noted that loving, preserving, and promoting the Uzbek language is the honourable duty of every citizen.
