Today, December 10, a comprehensive preventive measure was held at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi within the framework of the implementation of Decree No. PD -207 "On Comprehensive Measures for the Effective Protection of Public Health and the Nation's Gene Pool from Drug Addiction and Drug Crimes."
The main goal of the event is to provide young people with a deep understanding of the harmful consequences of drug addiction and drug crimes, to widely disseminate state policy aimed at preventing offenses, promoting a healthy lifestyle in society, and preserving the nation's gene pool.
At the meeting, the rector of the university, Prof. B. Makhkamov, Senior Inspector of the National Center for Drug Control under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. Makhmudov, Responsible Officer of the Operational-Search Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Zokhidov,
During the event, students were given detailed information about the negative impact of drugs on health, psychological state, and social life. The current legislation on combating drug crimes, penalties, and legal mechanisms aimed at protecting young people were also explained in detail. The participants exchanged views on the role of the family in preventing drug addiction, the responsibility of educational institutions, cooperation with the public, and comprehensive approaches of government bodies.
This meeting will serve as an important step in raising legal awareness among young people, protecting them from various negative influences, and educating a healthy generation.
