On 18 November, the prestigious international higher education agency — QS Quacquarelli Symonds — announced the results of the “QS Sustainability Rankings 2026.”
This ranking covers nearly two thousand universities around the world, and nine higher education institutions of Uzbekistan have been included in the list, three of which ranked in the Top 1000.
Among them, several universities improved their positions compared to last year, while some were included in the ranking for the first time.
Positions of Uzbekistan’s higher education institutions in the ranking:
🟢 Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers National Research University — 874th place
🟢 Tashkent State University of Economics — 951st place
🟢 National University of Uzbekistan — 970th place
🟢 The remaining six universities — Andijan State University, Samarkand State University, Tashkent State Technical University, Tashkent State Transport University, Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and Urgench State University — were placed in the 1501+ group.
