The project "Intra-intellectual transport systems: ICT-based new master's program for Uzbekistan" of the Erasmus+ program of the European Union was successfully completed.
The result of the project implementation was evaluated as "Good". In the project, Gdansk Technical University of Poland is the coordinator. Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi from Uzbekistan is the national coordinator of the project. Klagenfurt University of Austria, Zilina University of Slovakia, Tashkent State Technical University, Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, Andijan Institute of Mechanical Engineering, Termiz State Universities and and The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education and the Transport Department of Jizzakh Region participated as partner organizations.
The following works were carried out under the project:
- New graduate programs in Intelligent Transportation System (ITT) have been developed, and infrastructure and systems have been created to train a new generation of engineers. Master's degrees have been established in Uzbekistan's higher education institutions for this specialty;
- Today, more than 200 students have been recruited in this newly established master's specialty, and more than 40 have graduated and found jobs in their specialties;
- ICT-based ITT laboratories were established in TUIT, TDTU, JizPI, AndMI, TerDU higher education institutions;
- A curriculum of 28 subjects that meet the standards of the European Union has been developed for Uzbekistan's higher education institutions;
- Cooperation relations in the field of ITT have been established between higher education institutions and public organizations/institutions/enterprises;
- Infrastructure and system for training new generation of engineers on ITT has been created.
- Several local universities signed memorandums of understanding with European universities;
- A double degree agreement was signed with TUIT and Klagenfurt University on the specialty "Information and Communications Engineering";
- In cooperation, articles were published in more than 15 prestigious magazines;
- 2 PhD students are studying at Klagenfurt University as part of a 5-month exchange program;
- A book showing the results of the project was published and a video was prepared.
On the basis of these results, long-term plans were drawn up, and agreements on the continuation of cooperation were implemented.
