The prestigious British rating organization "Times Higher Education" has published the list of the world's most prestigious universities by subject "World University Rankings 2026 by Subject (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/by-subject) " for 2026.
Four higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, including the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov, were included in the scientific ranking for the first time.

• National Research University of TIIAME in natural sciences, mathematics and statistics - 301-400, as well as in engineering sciences - 401-500;
• National University of Uzbekistan in natural sciences, mathematics and statistics - 801-1000;
• Tashkent State Technical University in natural sciences, mathematics and statistics - 501-600, as well as in engineering sciences - 801-1000;
• Tashkent University of Information Technologies: Education - 601-800, Engineering - 801-1000, Computer Science and Programming - 1001+.
For information, "Times Higher Education" assesses world universities in 11 main areas and 148 subjects.
