On March 12, 2019, in Khorezm region, joint efforts of the Khorezm Regional Administration of Research Center “Oila” and Urgench branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi opened weekly training courses aimed at improving computer literacy among low-income families through teaching basic psychological knowledge and skills using information technology. This project provides for holding similar training courses in March and April of this year in the city of Tashkent, the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Samarkand, Fergana and Kashkadarya regions.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the Khorezm regional administration of the scientific and practical research center Oila under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan R. Babadzhanov, director of Urgench branch of TUIT named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi M.Baidzhanov, who noted that the introduction of advanced and modern informational tangible results. It was also emphasized that the training courses are conducted in groups of 15 people who successfully complete these courses are provided with certificates. In addition, one representative of the family, a project participant who will actively prove himself, will possess the necessary knowledge and skills in ICT, is given the opportunity to study on preferential terms in six-month computer literacy courses at TUIT or Inha University in Tashkent.
