From May 13 to 18, 2025, the Ministry of Sports organized the “Uzbekistan Championship” in the sport of Muay Thai for adults and juniors (U-23).

In this competition, Akobir Jobir ugli Orifov, a student of group 530-23 at the Faculty of Television Technologies of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi and an international master of sports, competed in the 75 kg weight category. He fought in four bouts and secured an honorable 3rd place, being awarded a third-degree diploma.
