On December 21, at Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, with the participation of university students, an event on the theme “Drug Addiction – is tragedy of the Century!” was held.
The twentieth century has brought mankind many troubles. These are terrorism and religious extremism, drug addiction, trafficking in arms and people, problems of prostitution, etc. In recent years, an increase in the number of crimes related to drugs, especially among young people, has caused disturbance. Currently, all organizations, the general public are involved in the fight against drug trafficking.
The event, organized at the university, noted the activities that are held in our country to counter drug addiction, cited information on psychological and biological changes in the body of a drug addict, statistical reports on the negative effects of tobacco smoking and alcohol abuse.
During the meeting, the audience was shown a video film dedicated to the problems of drug addiction.
