Professors and students of the Faculty of "Television Technologies" of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi are actively participating in a large-scale event in the field of cinema.

The 16th Tashkent International Film Festival "Silk Road Pearl" has started in the small pavilion of ‘Uzbekfilm’, where the opening ceremony of "SCO Film Days and Film Forum" was held as part of the official event.

A number of speakers at the event took part at the event. Including the chairperson of the "Belarusian Union of Filmmakers" Victor Vasiliev, the managing director of the National Film Development Corporation of India - Ravinder Bhakar, the film director Afshin Hashemi (Iran), the chief producer, the support of the national cinema of Kazakhstan State Adai Abeldinov, executive director of international film festivals of the center, and others.

India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan from SCO member countries will show their best films within the upcoming 16th Tashkent International Film Festival. In addition, their film productions are shown by observer countries (Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia) and SCO dialogue partner countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey).

As part of the film days of the SCO countries, films will be screened; workshops, seminars, press conferences and creative talks will be held. One of them was held today with People's Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov, and the first master classes and roundtable discussions of foreign cinematographers and actors left a great impression on professors and students of the Faculty of "Television Technologies". We think that such large-scale events will bring new twists and turns for the Uzbek film industry.
