The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan is organizing an essay competition among students of higher educational institutions on topic: “Defense of the Motherland is honorable duty of every citizen”. All interested creative students can take part in the competition.
The submitted essays should be written in a computer program Word, font size - 14 pt; fields should be on the left - 30 mm, on the right - 15 mm, on the top and bottom - 25 mm each. In addition, the texts must undergo scientific, technical, stylistic editing. A copy of the submitted materials should indicate the place of study, the faculty, the course and the direction of the student’s education, 2 copies do not indicate the place of study, the faculty, the course and the direction of the student’s education.
Works must be submitted before February 20, 2019 to the Department for Youth Affairs (Building C, 2nd floor, office 224).

The purpose and objectives of the competition
The main goal of the competition is to organize educational events designed to create among the student youth feelings of love for the Motherland, responsibility for maintaining peace, the inviolability of the borders of our country, the peaceful life of the people, and counteracting any external threats.
Competition conditions and evaluation criteria
1. Essays submitted to the contest are evaluated according to the following criteria:
- full disclosure of the topic content;
- stylistic and grammatical correctness of creative works;
- the level of use of literature and analytical approach in the coverage of the topic;
- free thinking;
- expression of creative originality when covering the topic.
2. For each criterion 10 points are awarded
- only 50 points.
The procedure for submitting documents
1. Documents of students who took prizes at 1 and 2 places (protocol and decision of the Organizing Committee of the higher educational institution, creative materials of the winning students and photo size 10x15) must be submitted before March of the current year to the Republican Organizing Committee in 2 copies in written a form, 1 option in electronic form (CD-disk).
2. The submitted essays should be written in a computer program Word, font size - 14 pt, line spacing - 1, margins should be on the left - 30 mm, on the right - 15 mm, on the top and bottom - 25 mm each. In addition, the texts must undergo scientific, technical, stylistic editing. A copy of the submitted materials should indicate the place of study, the faculty, the course and the direction of the student’s education, 2 copies do not indicate the place of study, the faculty, the course and the direction of the student’s education.
3. Creative works that do not meet the above requirements will not be accepted.
