Contract fee

The State Commission determines the basic amounts of contract fees for bachelors and master’s degrees in public higher education institutions for Admission to Educational Institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan before the beginning of each academic year.

In accordance with paragraph 2 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 24, 2021 No. PP-61 "On measures to provide financial independence to public higher education institutions" From January 1, 2013, the authority to make independent decisions on the following issues:

  • setting the cost of tuition on a fee-for-service basis, taking into account the demand in educational services market;
  • setting and extending the terms of payment of student tuition fees. 

In accordance with paragraph 5 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 11, 2019 No PP-4391 "On measures to introduce new principles of management in the system of higher and secondary special education". The powers and rights granted to higher education institutions that are transitioning to a self-financing system shall be extended to state higher education institutions that have been granted financial independence in accordance with the resolution.

Here:

  • the cost of tuition of students on a fee-for-service is based on the supply and demand in the market of educational services by the higher education institution, but the basic payment-contract established in the state higher education institutions in the relevant direction not more than three times its value;
  • In the conditions of admission in the field of bachelor's degree, master's degree and clinical residency, the cost of the contract can be set in differentiated amounts.
