The Department of Information Educational Technologies (Technical Education Pedagogy) was established on the basis of the resolution of the Academic Council dated May 29, 2008, No. 5 (Minutes No. 972), decisions of the faculty councils, and the Rector’s Order No. 550-01 dated June 27, 2008, of Tashkent University of Information Technologies, by merging the “Pedagogical Information Technologies and Telecommunications” Department of the Faculty of Information Technologies and the “Professional Education Pedagogy” Department of the Faculty of Pedagogical Information Technologies and Telecommunications.
The Department of Digital Education Technologies was established by merging the Department of Information Educational Technologies and the Department of Postal Communication Technology, in accordance with Resolution No. 9(731)/1(732) of the University Council dated August 31, 2026. The department’s aim is to train specialists who have mastered the theories, latest tools and technologies required to design, develop, integrate and test complex information systems.
Since September 2, 2026, the department has been operating under the name “Department of Digital Education Technologies.”
The department has been headed by: Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Sh.N. Akbarxadjaev (2000–2009); Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor R.N. Usmanov (2009–2010); Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor F.M. Zakirova (2010–2012); Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor E.A. Migranova (2012–2017); Senior Lecturer Delov To‘lqin Erkinovich (2019–2021); and Associate Professor (PhD) Pozilova Shahnoza Xaydaraliyevna (November 2 – December 27, 2021). Currently, the department is headed by PhD in Pedagogical Sciences Zaripova Dilnoza Anvarovna, who has been serving as Head of the Department since January 4, 2022.

The department’s activities are focused on training engineer-pedagogical specialists in the fields of 60611300 – “Vocational Education in the Field of ICT” and 70610105 – “Information Technologies in Education”. Currently, work is underway to develop and implement strategies for organizing learning activities based on international education standards, defining ideal educational goals and approaches for setting them, as well as broadly introducing modern teaching methods and technologies, including gamification.
The faculty members of the department teach courses such as “Introduction to Education,” “Pedagogy. Psychology,” “Electronic Pedagogy,” “Neuropedagogy,” “Creative Pedagogy,” “Scientific Education,” “Digital Technologies and Innovations,” along with other general professional and specialized disciplines.
