The new system allows to select the most educated young people in the republic

On May 6 of this year, in the presence of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting devoted to the issues of admission to higher education institutions and the improvement of the state order formation system, it was proposed to introduce the following reforms:

Regarding the formation of the state order (grant quotas):

➖ the practice of distributing the parameters of the state order in the section of the current universities will be canceled, and the approval procedure will be introduced in the section of the bachelor's courses and master's specialties;

➖ the state order for social and humanitarian directions will be reduced, and these quotas will be distributed among engineering, medicine, exact and natural sciences as a priority;

➖ Starting from 2025, the parameters of the state order will be approved for a 4-year period (in practice, 1 year) in accordance with the forecast of the training and demand for highly educated personnel;

➖ based on the material and technical base of universities, the structure of professors and teachers, forms general admission parameters for the next academic year (not divided into grants and contracts) for undergraduate majors and master's majors;

➖ based on the state order, the grant places are made according to the selection of the applicants according to the sequence of points accumulated in the republic for each direction.
