On May 19 of this year, the delegation of Binghamton University of the USA visited Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
The purpose of this visit is to implement the tasks defined in the memorandum of cooperation signed between TUIT and Binghamton University, as well as to bring the existing cooperation between the universities to a new level.
On the first day of the visit, the members of the Binghamton University delegation were closely introduced to the activities of the computer engineering faculties of TUIT and the scientific developments carried out in the existing laboratories.
During the meeting, the dean of Binghamton University "Computer Science" faculty, Professor Weiyi Meng, gave information on the projects implemented in the university's scientific laboratories and faculties, as well as made a presentation on the directions of cooperation and organized a conversation with young scientists of TUIT.
After that, he visited the "Speech Signal Processing" laboratory established at the Faculty of Computer Engineering of TUIT and exchanged views on the fundamental software products "Speech technologies that perform the tasks of analyzing and synthesizing Uzbek speech" implemented by Professor M. Musayev.
In addition, Madhusudhan Govindaraju, vice chancellor for international education and global affairs of Binghamton University, introduced the grant programs offered by Binghamton University for faculty members, doctoral students and master's students working at TUIT.
