The delegation headed by the rector of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Prof. B. Makhkamov, visited the "Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture" (BUCEA) located in People's Republic of China, which is in the leading positions in the international prestigious ranking, and met with the president of the university, Prof. ZHANG Dayu.
At the meeting, a Memorandum of Understaning was signed between the two universities in the areas of joint implementation of international educational projects, professional development for academic staff, students and professors at BUCEA, short-term internship and academic exchange.
Moreover, during the visit, promising directions for further expansion of cooperation between universities were defined. In particular, the measures of becoming a member of the international consortium "Belt and Road Architectural University International Consortium" (BRAUIC) founded by BUCEA and organizing summer schools for students were discussed, as well as providing opportunities for students to continue their studies at BUCEA through grant programs.
