Dr. Hamadoun Touré served as the Secretary-General of the ITU from 2007 to 2014.
🤔 The ITU consists of 194 member states and more than 1,000 companies, universities, and international organizations. In addition to its headquarters in Geneva, the ITU has regional offices on every continent. The ITU facilitates international connections for global communication networks, allocates global radio frequencies and satellite orbits, develops technical standards for networks, and works to expand access to digital technologies in underserved regions.
