February 2025 was a month of events for women in science and technology at TUIT. On 11 February the University marked the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, recognising its women researchers. During the same month TUIT held the forum “The role of women in the development of the IT sector”, where women scholars and students presented their research and projects, and ran the “Digital Girls” seminar-training during the forum in Samarkand.

Women made up 17.2% of TUIT’s new bachelor’s students in 2025. These events aim to show schoolgirls and students that careers in engineering and IT are open to them.
