On May 20, 2025, a delegation headed by the Rector of Xinjiang University of Finance and Economics (China) visited the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the university's scientific and technical infrastructure, joint projects with Chinese companies, and the laboratories established through these collaborations. The meeting focused on current developments in the fields of information technology and economics, and the potential for launching a joint undergraduate degree program in digital technologies, economics, and management.
At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of cooperation was signed, marking the start of official cooperation between the two universities in academic staff exchange, scientific research, and human resource development.
