Evidence for the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2027 · Indicator 5.6.7 · Reference period: calendar year 2025

Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi measures women’s likelihood of graduating compared with men’s and acts on any gap. Every year the Academic Affairs Department compares completion rates by sex for each programme.

Scope
TUIT main campus in Tashkent. Figures cover the main campus; activities of the regional branches (Fergana, Nukus, Samarkand, Nurafshon, and Urgench, which joined Urgench State University in 2025) are mentioned where TUIT took part. Activities described took place at the main campus unless a branch is named.
Period
Calendar year 2025 (1 January – 31 December 2025)
Responsible unit
Academic Affairs Department

Results

In 2025 women were 361 of the main campus’s 1,811 bachelor’s graduates (19.9%), against 17.2% of entrants in 2024: women complete their studies at least as often as men.

Action on gaps

Where completion is lower for one sex in a programme, the faculty reviews the reasons with the Women’s Council and offers the students concerned extra academic consultations. Since 30 August 2024 the analysis is required by the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy (TUIT-SP-10, paragraph 10).
